This month’s full moon in Sagittarius is a Supermoon, where the moon appears larger than usual due to being at its closest proximity to the earth in its cycle.  Symbolically this expands the moon’s influence and deepens its impact, making this an especially powerful and influential full moon.

Sagittarius at its higher expression relates to higher learning, truth, justice, wisdom and freedom.  Its ruler Jupiter is in fiery Aries; pushing us towards action, adventure and pastures new.  With the ruler of Aries, Mars, also in Aries and widely conjunct Jupiter, impulsive actions could be taken; so beware of the long term implications of any rash decision making.  The Sun in Gemini opposite the Moon encourages checking facts and communicating to ensure actions come from a place of wisdom.

This is especially important with Neptune in Pisces forming a T Square with the Sun and Moon.  This dynamic implies stored up tension and stress and requires adjustment through action.  Neptune can bring confusion, illusion, disillusion and the light of the full moon reveals lies and deception.  Neptune also offers creative inspiration and expression of the highest aspects of love.  Channel this into any actions and decision making.

Wounds may feel sharper and more acute, as Mars conjuncts Chiron.  This also brings potential for healing action physically, mentally and emotionally.

Black Moon Lilith on the World Axis lends raw uncompromising feminine energy, honouring natural rather than manmade law. As punishment for her refusal to diminish herself to Adam (read patriarchy), Lilith was cast out of Eden (society) and demonised. She symbolises where we feel ashamed, shamed, ridiculed, stifled, repressed or punished for upholding our sense of personal sovereignty.

Venus sandwiched between Uranus and the North Node in Taurus, urges revolution in these societal values.  It offers the gift of liberation and freedom by realising and adhering to a higher set of values and integrity, personally and collectively.

Full moons are a culmination and bring completion energy.  This full moon dispels lies, deception and outdated societal and personal constructs and enlightens us as to the true meaning of freedom.
