Full Moon in Gemini December 2022

The full moon in Gemini highlights communication, thought processes, mental activity, study and learning.  Gemini thrives on information while the opposite sign Sagittarius tends to make meaning out of data according to its beliefs and philosophy. 

The Moon opposite the Sun at this full moon encourages us to check our gut feel, instincts and worldview with facts, figures and data.  The truth of a situation may be revealed once the facts come to light and help move us towards a fresh perspective and higher level of perception.

Gemini is the sign of the twins and symbolises duality and choices.  Mars, the planet of action and assertion, is exactly conjunct (next to) the Moon and plays a key role in this new moon’s energy.  Mars is enjoying a lengthy retrograde in Gemini, helping us to reflect our decision making and past choices.  We may find ourselves going back over our past decisions and choices and the actions we have taken.  Or we may have been stuck or sitting on the fence.

The influence of Mars at the full moon, combined with fresh or new information coming to light, enables us to spring forward into action towards a clarified vision.

Changing Direction

April brings big shifts; symbolised by four planets changing direction.  Both Jupiter and Venus are currently in retrograde motion which means that they appear to move backwards through the zodiac from the perspective of the Earth.  Venus will change direction and move forward as from 15 April, whereas Saturn, Mercury and Pluto will all commence their retrograde journey on 6th, 10th and 24th April respectively.
