Moving Forward
As we move towards the end of this exceptional year, the planetary energies are starting to move forward. Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto have all ended their retrograde period and are moving direct as of 13, 29 September and 5 October respectively.
Mercury retrograde comes to an end on 4 November (3rd November US time; the day of the US election) and on 14 November the unusually long Mars retrograde finally ends and Mars begins moving forward again in his home sign of Aries. If things have felt stuck and slow moving over the past few months, the combination of these planets moving forward will create more impetus, action and energy. In Australia we are seeing the lockdowns relaxing and people moving about more normally. However Europe is in harder lockdown, perhaps as a manifestation of the third Jupiter Pluto conjunction at 22 deg Capricorn 51’. Direct Mars energy in Aries has considerable power and drives forward with ambition, leadership and bravery. It can also heighten impatience, anger and recklessness so keep this in mind until Mars moves into Taurus on 6 January 2021.
The New Moon in the passionate and regenerative sign of Scorpio will occur on the 15th November at 4.07 pm at 23 deg 17’. This is a time of rebirth and an opportunity to start afresh. Scorpio creates the environment where we can delve deeply into our feelings and acknowledge hidden desires and passions. Issues of power and self empowerment are highlighted including the things that undermine and drain our power. Personal magnetism, strength and depth of character can be developed and intense emotional interactions can lead to healing and new levels of intimacy. To see how this affects you more personally, look at where this sits in your chart by house and aspect.
The Sun moves into fiery Sagittarius on 22 November so the emphasis is on expansion, positivity growth and adventure. The Sun in Sagittarius calls us to seek and live our truth and radiate our beliefs and philosophies. Sagittarius is optimistic, restless, progressive and adventurous and may feel constrained or thwarted in our current restricted COVID world.
The very last day of the month brings a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 8 deg 37’Gemini at 8.30 pm (Sun in Sagittarius opposite Moon in Gemini). Eclipses are like wild cards disrupting normal patterns; where the veils between dimensions are thinner; potentially allowing upgrades and leaps in consciousness to occur. It’s a time of mystery and magic. In Gemini it affects thoughts, communications, study, learning, new ideas and experiences. The focus on the Gemini Sagittarius axis heralds the upcoming shift in energy in December, centring on Sagittarius’ ruling planet Jupiter.
