New Moon in Sagittarius November 2022
A crucible has been figuratively defined as a transformative experience through which an individual comes to a new or altered sense of identity. This often happens through times of adversity where character is tested and great strength is required.
Crucible in the literal sense is used in the context of metallurgy, the science of working with and refining metals, and is a heat-resistant container used to melt metals.
Since the Pluto Saturn conjunction of 2020, immense pressure has been placed on our structures both collectively and individually, almost to the point of collapse. Uranus in a long running square to Saturn has added to this pressure of breakdown to break free. This reached boiling point in October and November 2022. At some level, we have all been experiencing the melting down of the known, old, outdated systems and structures which lack sufficient integrity to survive into the future.
The Sagittarius new moon marks a turning point. With seven planets in mutable signs, the energy shifts from fixed to flexible. There is a sense of forward momentum as Pluto and Saturn are moving direct. Sagittarius is mutable fire, movable, malleable with a thirst for truth, wisdom, freedom and an expanded vision of a bright new future.
Jupiter, ruler of Sagittarius, is in a supportive trine aspect to the Sun and Moon, emphasising a sense of optimism and movement. Jupiter is stationary at this new moon enhancing its influence and opening up wider possibilities. Jupiter’s conjunction with Neptune offers infinite possibility for adventure and new horizons in a spiritual and compassionate context.
The liquid metal is now ready to transmute and can take whatever form we envisage so tune in to your imagination and dream big at this new moon. This is Alchemy – the transmutation of base metal in to gold.
