Super Moon Full Moon in Virgo 2020
Super Moon Full Moon in Virgo at 19°37’ 4.49 am 10 March (Sydney)
The full Moon is the peak of the Moon’s cycle where the Sun and Moon are opposite each other and the full light of the Sun (consciousness) illuminates the Moon (the unconscious, emotional realm). As such the full Moon is linked to closure, culmination, completion, fruition, illumination and realisation. The upcoming full Moon in Virgo (Moon in Virgo opposite the Sun in Pisces) is a Super Moon where the Moon in its orbit is very close to the Earth, and therefore has a stronger influence on the Earth than usual, bringing with it king tides and heightened emotions.
The Moon in Virgo highlights an urge to clean up and get organised, to purify our thoughts, minds bodies and environment. At its highest expression Virgo symbolises purification of the self such that it can be of the highest service and this full super Moon highlights our self talk and invites us to let go of undermining thoughts, words and actions (Virgo is ruled by Mercury the planet of the mind and communication). It also illumines where and how we can be of greater service.
The Sun in Pisces tightly conjuncts Neptune brings with it creativity, heightened intuitive ability and insight, the urge to dream big, to experience different levels of consciousness to the mundane every day, and to experience a connection with the divine and a oneness with all living beings.
Oppositions invite integration and at this Super Moon we have the opportunity for practical integration of bringing our dreams down to earth, to organise our creative processes such that we manifest our creativity, to clean up and expand our thinking, to serve at a higher level and to experience the divine in the everyday.
